Just wanted to show my 3D printed Nybble(sourced from hackoholic: (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4015171)! Huge thanks to him for the original STL's and some help along the way. I'm currently still waiting on my Nyboard to come in, so I haven't gotten the opportunity to see him move yet, but I'm excited! This guy's name is Ekko, he's around 165% scaled version of the original build, with MG996R servos. He stands around 8.5 inches tall and about 13 inches long. I had to modify/recreate almost every part due to tolerances being messed up when it's scaled and other fitment issues. I'm currently waiting on the last batch of new frame parts to finish printing before I call the build side of this finished! I also designed a new head for Ekko, the original head didn't look quite right being so large. If you want to build this you can see it on Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4583132) however I will say to not build it yet unless you're okay with troubleshooting issues and redesigning parts. I'm nearly done with the build but it is still a work in progress! In the photo you can see the original scale Nybble standing on top of Ekko.
Yea tolerances weren't too big of an issue to solve, it's taken me about a month from start to where i am now, I think one of the bigger problems is going to be attempting to get the code going for it. I'm going to try to use the stock Nybble code, but I'm sure there's going to need to be changes due to different servo mount placements, but I'll update this when I get it going!
Yes, the error tolerance will be a big problem if you simply scale up the model. A bigger problem will be the servos ability to drive it. The cat is amusingly huge!
