Hello all, I am currently facing challenges in establishing a Bluetooth connection with my Mac M1 and a cat device. Despite several attempts, the connection does not seem to be responding or establishing successfully.
I kindly request assistance from anyone who might have encountered a similar issue or possesses expertise in troubleshooting Bluetooth connectivity on the Mac M1 platform. Your insights and guidance on resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe it's the reason: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255165459
Reading this, it seems like there are issues with Bluetooth in the latest macOS, which will need to be fixed by them.
What I mentioned happened with the BiBoard, and I did have the repeated pop up with the NyBoard as well. Jason is aware of the problem. I searched and found others talking about bluetooth issues on the Mac so it might be a Mac issue they need to fix.
What's your MacOS version? I'm also using an M1 machine. After upgrading to the new Sonoma14.0 (I only find the new wallpapers and screensavers are cool), I discovered that sometimes the Bluetooth connection in the System setting will repeatedly pop up the pin code window but will not move the device to the connected list.
The connection problem is with the Bluetooth dongle of the NyBoard. The Bluetooth connection with the BiBoard is unaffected.
I just posted about this a few days ago. With macOS 13.6.1 I was able to connect the Desktop App with some pinwheeling, but after upgrading to macOS 14.1 it no longer worked. Since then I have found that if I "forget" the device, add it back in and then try it sometimes works that one time. I was using ardSerial.py found in the OpenCat/serialMaster directory on GitHub running in terminal for testing.
